A perfect location for a short break or holiday,
Stable Cottage is on the southern edge of Exmoor National Park
close to the former copper and gold mining village of North Molton,
with its shop, two pubs and hamlet of Heasley Mill.
Walking, riding… and perhaps even surfing!
For an active holiday you will be spoilt for
choice, with magnificent pathways, riding and fishing.
The area Is peppered with picturesque villages and character moorland
pubs, many of which serve excellent food at affordable prices.
The spectacular North Devon coastline offers miles of dramatic walks
over cliffs and through wooded combes and gullies and boasts some
of the best sand beaches in the country with Croyde, Saunton, Woolacombe
and Westward Ho! all within easy reach. These are also popular as
surfing beaches.
Regional leisure and shopping facilities
The regional centre of Barnstaple is approximately
11 miles away and is the area’s main shopping venue, with
many restaurants and bars and a lively night life.
The North Devon Leisure Centre and the Tarka Tennis Centre provide
many indoor pursuits and golf is available at Landkey, Ilfracombe
and Saunton, with its championship standard golf course.
There is also live theatre at Barnstaple and Ilfracombe.
The mill town of Tiverton is just 20 minutes’ drive, with
an array of restaurants and shops, while other towns including
Dulverton, Bampton, South Molton, Crediton, Braunton, Lynton are
also accessible in under 30 minutes.
